Each kit includes an 8-watt solar panel, four energy-efficient LED light bulbs, and a USB power outlet, allowing households to safely light multiple areas of their home at night using only energy captured from the sun during the day. The system also includes a USB charging station, enabling families to charge mobile phones at no ongoing cost — reducing reliance on candles, batteries, or expensive charging services.

Many of the families benefiting from these solar kits have children who are currently supported by FundaMaya donors to attend school.
